Cold, Chilly Winds and Burning NewsPapers in a canaster

Tropical Winter Nights. The dust and fog play together to make things invisible. And it gets sufficiently cold. People look to be close to source of heat in and out. Standing near a tea-maker's coal-aginiti would be a wonderul relief. With a really hot cup of tea that warms up the hands and body like anything. Not just 1 will do. You will need atleast 2/3. Going back to home from college, i used to stop by at my cousin lala's place. Its time to enjoy the cold again! Driving straight through the fog would get us wet, and oh lord that was a lot of fun. Then how to spend the cold night? We would gather lots of old magazines and newspapers from around the household, and port it up to the 3rd floor of the house. There was a tin-shed in the corner, and under it we would clear up some space, put jute bags on the floor, and put the junk papers in tin canaster that was used to mix sand and cement. Then we'd burn the papers. The fire would catch rapidly, and we'd be happy to see flames stand up. We'd talk of our lives, whats happening, and what did you do. The cold would not stop reachng from sides, so we brought thin blankets for that purpose. Lots of unwanted smoke would welcome us too. So our eyes became red. It was upto the chilly winds to give it direction. We'd keep feeding fire slowly. The canaster would get really hot to touch. The heat was a like toast to the winter season. We wouldn't do it without each other. So these were some special moments.
