Nothing cuts like it

Fear is the most intensely operative and ubiquitous of human emotions.

Fear of getting killed or eaten by an animal in my case?
Fear of losing someone dear?
Fear of getting fired?
Fear of being left alone?
Fear of public shame?
Fear of being hated?
Fear of rejection?
Fear of being known as stupid, retarded?
Fear of failure?
Fear of being left behind in a competition?
Fear of getting penniless?
Fear of getting infamous?
Fear of saying something inept?
Fear of revealing deepest emotions?
Fear of being honest?
Fear of unknown?

Fear is the sticking glue that stops us from flying in our minds and hearts. Fear is responsible for all ordinary men from becoming great men, brave men. Fear cannot be transcended by ordinary thoughts. Or it needs extraordinary mental frame to think fearless.

Somehow our evolutionary flight or flee fear mechanism operates even in non-survival for life situations. Full flegedly.

Fear makes us possessive about someone, lest they go away. It needs a brave heart to love fearlessly. Fear is like a hole in the boat of thoughts. Making it sink, before it goes any farther.

Watch Riddick if you get a chance. Excellent movie, with a message that even if you the King or the GOD, or whoever super you are, if you tainted with fear in any minutesimal way, you are shit like rest of us.

Staying fearless is not easy, but not impossible either. Cute emotion though, setting limits to being human. Just like these road speed limits, if you drive faster than that, the road can't take it.

And a famous tale from childhood goes like this:

Once upon a time in a jungle, lived a jackal. The wife asked jackal to look for a den, as she was about to give birth. Jackal said, don't you worry about it. And when the time came, jackal took her to a lion's den, which was empty at that time. After they had their little children, the wife worried. But the jackal was cool. A while later they heard the lion coming back to his den. Hearing the lion come, the jackal and his wife loudly talked as planned - Wife: "The children won't eat anything", Jackal: "Why?" Wife:"They only want lions heart" Jackal: "Its not easy to find lion nearby". Hearing this the lion got scared to death - and started to think that some bigger animal has occupied his den. He ran back for his life, thanking god he luckily heard it. On his way he met his friend monkey. Seeing lion all pale, he asked, "what's up?". The lion told his story. Monkey said, "ohh stupid you, I know that a jackal moved into your den". Lets go get him out. Skeptical lion said, are you sure? Damn, I am not going back at no cost. Monkey said ok, I will come with you and. But the lion only agreed if they tied their tails together. So tied they went. As they neared the den came the voices "Our friend Monkey has brought us a lion, how nice!" Now the lion without a thought, ran back at speed of light, wmth the monkey tumbling after him....

How about the fear of not knowing?

Fear of not knowing is fear of ignorance. Which thought otherwise is not good. Ignorance is sometimes a blessing in disguise.
